01

About NAHCP

What is NAHCP?

The National Alliance for Healthcare Professionals is a professional organization that provides education, professional development and career resources for people working in healthcare. NAHCP supports professionals from their first healthcare role through executive leadership, and works with healthcare employers developing their own people. NAHCP is not a university, college, licensing body or certifying organization.

Who can use NAHCP?

Anyone working in healthcare, entering healthcare, or considering it. Healthcare employers and organizations can also work with NAHCP to develop their employees.

Do I have to work in healthcare already?

No. NAHCP education includes foundational programs for people entering the field, as well as programs for professionals moving into an unfamiliar area of the work.

Are NAHCP programs only for clinical professionals?

No. Healthcare spans clinical care, patient access, revenue cycle, operations, administration, support services and leadership. NAHCP education covers work across those areas, not clinical roles alone.

What makes NAHCP different?

NAHCP organizes education around careers rather than presenting a catalog and leaving people to work out what applies to them. It is built across multiple career levels rather than one, and it is designed to serve both individual professionals and the organizations that employ them.

02

Programs & Education

What kinds of programs does NAHCP offer?

NAHCP education includes Healthcare Essentials, Clinical Foundations, Professional Development Academy, Leadership Programs, Fellowship Academy™, Official Healthcare Boot Camps™, Healthcare Simulation Labs™ and CEU Courses. Each program is described in the Education Catalog, including what it covers and who it is intended for.

What is the difference between them?

Healthcare Essentials covers core knowledge for people entering healthcare or moving into a new area of it, and Clinical Foundations covers foundational clinical knowledge for roles that require it. Professional Development Academy support professionals building expertise in their current role and preparing for the next one. Leadership Programs are built for supervisors, managers, directors and emerging leaders, and Fellowship Academy™ provides advanced leadership development for experienced professionals.

Official Healthcare Boot Camps™ are focused, intensive programs on defined subject areas. Healthcare Simulation Labs™ are applied, scenario-based learning experiences. CEU Courses are continuing education for professionals who need it.

How do I know which program is right for me?

Programs are organized by career level and subject area, so the Education Catalog can be filtered to what applies to you. Career Navigator™ is a free, public tool that suggests a direction based on what you tell it about your role and goals. If you would rather ask a person, email connect@nahcp.com.

Can I take more than one program?

Yes. Learners may enroll in more than one NAHCP program. Programs span different subjects and career levels, so professionals can choose education that fits their current role, interests and development goals.

How long are NAHCP programs?

Length varies by program. Each program’s page states the hours it represents, so you can see what it asks of you before enrolling.

Do NAHCP programs have prerequisites?

There are no universal NAHCP prerequisites. Where an individual program has an eligibility requirement, prerequisite or recommended prior knowledge, that information is stated on the program’s page. Career-level guidance — the level a program is written for — is guidance rather than a formal prerequisite.

Where do I find the details of a specific program?

Each program’s page in the Education Catalog states what the program covers, the hours it represents, whether a certificate of completion is awarded, whether it is CEU eligible, and the price including member price.

03

Enrollment & Learning

Are NAHCP programs online?

Yes. NAHCP programs are delivered online through NAHCP’s learning platform. You access your program online after enrolling.

How do I enroll?

Individual learners enroll online through the applicable program page and checkout process. Employer, group and organizational enrollment arrangements may begin with a conversation with NAHCP.

Do I need an account?

You need an account to access a program you have enrolled in. Career Navigator™ and Certificate Verification are open to the public and require no account.

Do programs include assessments or activities?

Where appropriate to the particular program, NAHCP education includes applied learning such as assessments, activities, scenarios and simulation-style experiences. Not every program contains every component — what a specific program includes is described on its page.

What if I do not pass an assessment?

Learners may have multiple assessment attempts at no additional charge, subject to the requirements of the particular program. Applicable passing requirements are stated for the individual program, and program-specific examination rules apply where they are clearly disclosed.

How long do I have access to my program?

Learners receive 12 months of access from enrollment unless a specific program states otherwise. Where a program has different terms, those terms are stated on the program’s page.

How do I pay, and can my employer be invoiced?

Individual learners purchase programs using the payment methods available through the online checkout. Employer or group invoicing can be arranged as part of an organizational conversation with NAHCP.

04

Certificates & Verification

What is a certificate of completion?

An NAHCP certificate of completion documents completion of a specific NAHCP educational program. NAHCP issues certificates of completion to learners who successfully complete applicable NAHCP programs.

Is an NAHCP certificate the same as a professional license?

No. A certificate of completion from NAHCP is not a professional license, state credential, board certification, or authorization to practice in a regulated profession.

Does NAHCP certify me to work in a regulated healthcare profession?

No. Licensing, certification, credentialing, continuing-education acceptance and employment requirements are established by the applicable licensing boards, certifying organizations, regulatory authorities and employers. NAHCP education and certificates of completion do not replace any license, certification, credential, examination, supervised experience, employer requirement, or other requirement that may apply to a particular profession or role.

Can an employer verify my NAHCP certificate?

Yes. Each NAHCP certificate carries a Verification ID, and anyone holding that ID and the recipient’s last name can check the record through NAHCP’s Certificate Verification page. Certificates also carry a QR code that opens verification directly. No account is required.

What does verification show?

Verification confirms whether an NAHCP completion record matches the information entered and identifies the program associated with that record. Verification does not confirm professional licensure, certification or any third-party credential.

What if my certificate does not verify?

First check that the Verification ID and last name are entered exactly as they appear on the certificate. If it still does not verify, email connect@nahcp.com and we will look into it.

Can I get a correction or a replacement copy of my certificate?

Yes. Learners may request certificate corrections or replacement copies without a fee by contacting connect@nahcp.com. Administrative corrections preserve the underlying verification record wherever appropriate, so a corrected certificate continues to verify.

05

Continuing Education & CEUs

Does NAHCP offer continuing education?

Some NAHCP programs are identified as CEU eligible. Where a program is CEU eligible, its page states that, along with the number of CEUs it represents.

Are all NAHCP programs CEU eligible?

No. CEU eligibility is program-specific and is set for each program individually. It is not determined by how long a program takes, so a longer program is not automatically CEU eligible and a shorter one is not automatically excluded.

Will my licensing board, certifying organization or employer accept it?

That decision belongs to them rather than to NAHCP. Requirements vary by profession, state, certifying organization and employer, and they change over time. If continuing-education acceptance is important to you, verify the applicable requirements with the relevant licensing board, certifying organization, employer or other authority before enrolling.

Does NAHCP report my completion to a licensing board or CE registry?

NAHCP does not currently report completion directly to licensing boards or third-party continuing-education registries. Learners are responsible for submitting their completion documentation when it is required.

06

Membership

What is NAHCP membership?

NAHCP offers Individual Membership and Student Membership. Members receive member pricing on eligible paid programs, access to the Member Resource Library and member-only professional tools and career resources, the member newsletter, member webinars and educational events as they become available, and a digital NAHCP member badge.

Do I have to be a member to take a program?

No. NAHCP education is available to non-members. Membership provides member pricing and access to member resources.

Do members receive special pricing?

Members receive 15% off eligible paid NAHCP programs. Member pricing is shown on each program’s page alongside the regular price. Some programs are free to everyone, and not every program is discount eligible.

What is Student Membership?

Student Membership is available to students currently enrolled in a recognized college, university, vocational, technical, or healthcare training program. Verification of enrollment may be required. Student members receive the same core benefits as Individual members, including the same 15% discount — the difference is eligibility and price.

Does becoming a member make me licensed or credentialed?

No. NAHCP membership is a professional membership. It does not confer professional licensure, certification or any professional credential.

07

Career Development

What are Career Pathways™?

Career Pathways™ are structured routes that show how roles connect and which education supports each step. Pathways are published as they are developed, so not every specialty has one yet.

What is Career Navigator™?

Career Navigator™ is a free, public tool that suggests a direction based on what you tell it about your current role and your goals. It requires no account, no email address and no membership. It is a guidance and discovery tool — not an assessment, and not a determination of career fit.

Does NAHCP guarantee that I will be promoted?

No. NAHCP provides education. Promotions, hiring and advancement are decided by employers, and no NAHCP program guarantees promotion, employment or a salary increase.

Does NAHCP provide job placement?

No. NAHCP does not place learners in jobs and does not provide employment services. NAHCP also does not guarantee professional licensure, professional certification or any particular career outcome.

Does NAHCP offer education for supervisors, managers, directors and executives?

Yes. Leadership Programs support supervisors, managers, directors and emerging leaders, and Fellowship Academy™ provides advanced leadership development for experienced professionals. Being excellent in one role does not by itself prepare someone to lead people, budgets or operations, and NAHCP treats that preparation as its own kind of development.

08

Employers & Workforce Development

Can an employer use NAHCP to develop employees?

Healthcare organizations can use NAHCP education for workforce development, employee education, leadership development and career advancement pathways for their teams.

Can an employer enroll multiple employees?

NAHCP can discuss group enrollment and group membership options with healthcare organizations. These arrangements begin with a conversation rather than an online bulk purchase.

Is there a minimum group size?

No minimum has been established. Solutions are available for healthcare teams and organizations of varying sizes.

Does group pricing combine with the member discount?

Group or organizational pricing does not automatically stack with the 15% individual member discount. Where an organizational arrangement provides otherwise, that is set out in writing as part of the arrangement.

Can NAHCP support succession planning and internal talent pipelines?

NAHCP education can support succession planning, leadership pipelines and internal development by preparing employees across career levels. NAHCP provides the education and helps identify what fits an organization’s needs; the workforce planning itself remains the organization’s own.

What kinds of organizations does NAHCP work with?

NAHCP education is intended for hospitals and health systems, practices and physician groups, clinics, urgent and ambulatory care, skilled nursing and rehabilitation, senior living, home health, hospice, behavioral health providers, healthcare staffing organizations, public health and community health organizations, and other healthcare employers.

How does an employer start a conversation with NAHCP?

Through the Request a Consultation form on the Employer Solutions™ page, or by emailing connect@nahcp.com. Group and organizational pricing is available by consultation. NAHCP does not currently provide employer dashboards, automated employer reporting, integrations with an employer’s own learning system, or automated bulk purchasing.

Getting Help

What is NAHCP’s refund policy?

A learner may request a refund within 7 calendar days of purchase, provided the learner has completed no more than 10% of the program and no certificate of completion has been issued. Once more than 7 calendar days have passed, more than 10% of the program has been completed, or a certificate of completion has been issued, the purchase is non-refundable.

Refund requests should be submitted to connect@nahcp.com. Duplicate charges or confirmed billing errors may be reviewed separately. Employer, group and organizational purchases may be governed by separate written terms.

Can I transfer to a different program?

NAHCP may permit a one-time transfer to another NAHCP program. The request must be made within 7 calendar days of the original purchase, no more than 10% of the original program may have been completed, and no certificate of completion may have been issued. All transfers are subject to NAHCP approval.

If the new program costs more than the original, the learner pays the price difference. If it costs less, NAHCP does not issue a cash refund for the difference; the remaining balance becomes an NAHCP account credit that may be applied toward a future eligible program purchase, and that credit expires 12 months from the date the transfer is approved.
