Is NAHCP a membership association, an education provider, or both?

Direct Answer

NAHCP is positioned primarily as a professional-development organization and education provider for healthcare professionals that also offers membership.

The Full Answer

Education is the centre of what NAHCP does. It develops and delivers professional-development and leadership education across healthcare career levels, and completion of a program leads to a certificate of completion.

Membership is offered alongside that education rather than in place of it. You do not need to be a member to take an NAHCP program, and joining does not enroll you in any education.

NAHCP is not a national representative body for healthcare professionals, a standard-setting organization, a licensing authority or an accrediting organization, and it does not have chapters or affiliates. It does not speak for a profession or define the requirements of one.
